What is BangkoktoKrakow.com? An online journal of our preparations leading up to our departure, and the experiences we encounter on our journey overland from Bangkok, Thailand to Krakow, Poland. 8179 Kilometres, 201 Days, 7 Time Zones, 4 years of Musing, 2 Dreamers and a Baby!
Starting in Geelong, Australia, we plan to fly into Bangkok in June and travel overland to Krakow to introduce little Zosia to Polska in time for Christmas. Ohhh! The anticipation, June 8th here we come! What will the thousands of kilometres taste and sound like? How will our birthday’s look and feel in foreign waters this year? What does a white Christmas smell like? The countdown begins…
Why or why not, why and why not? Why, why, why? In the long run it does not matter but in the meantime it provides the impetus to get you there, so here are a couple of whys we’ve come up with;
•To be here and now
•To dream and to live
•To be together and discover each other some more
•To feel the freedom of a home in your backpack
•To take the scenic route to Europe
•To immerse ourselves in the wonderlands beyond the realm of “Made In China”
•To minimise our “Stuff”
So hopefully this answers a few questions, as for the who…
